As censorship reaches critical mass. People need a place to freely share their thoughts without fear of removal. Nostr puts the power back in the user's hands.

The primary features that make Nostr important are decentralisation, personal control of keys, and of course censorship resistance. All other features, whilst maybe cool, are just stocking fillers in comparison.
