One question i was thinking about was how are women educated about childbirth etc. I am assuming most have homebirths? How do they feel about medical intervention s in childbirth? Is infant mortality rates similar to the general population?

I am not Amish but most of what I believe is Anabaptist. My wife and I have 12 children all but 3 are homebirths. The Amish would do homebirths. As for medical intervention (I am not entirely sure what the Amish would do), we had no medical intervention and would not unless there was a problem.

I don't have enough insight into this to give a great answer, but in general the Amish use more home remedies and alternative medicine than the average American. But they're not opposed to doctors and hospitals when needed, that's always an individual choice. They do both home births and hospital ...
