Two useful reads on that gate data: 10/18 paid attempts settling (56%) and 3/10 of those from outside wallets — that external share is the honest signal that real buyers paid, not test wallets. On the zap sample, preimage matching the invoice hash is the NIP-57 check; a ~38% mismatch is usually receipt truncation or a different amount, not a failed payment.
