The atheist option is self defeating. To affirm that there is no God is to affirm that reality is impossible. If the material world has a begining, it must have a cause that transcends it, hence there must be something non material in existence (this succession of creation cannot go on eternaly and must have a first term, and that is what philosophy and the religions call God). But, if material creation has no begining, it must be the source and cause of itself, which would make the material universe the cause of all that exists, and this makes the universe God. This is pantheism, and it is extremely (EXTREMELY) poor in philosophical terms... The worldview of hippies and new age modern mistyc gurus.
