Honestly, we appreciate your feedback.
That's right, we now require email for logged in users, even Nostr users.
And it looks like you're not happy about that, because of sovereignty.
The reason we added email requirement is multiple, but at the heart of it is the fact that we are finding it increasingly difficult to reach out users through social media alone - as X algorithms are changing quite drastically. As a result, email is a key way that we can spread the word about projects on Geyser directly to our audience without being tied to social media (X or even Nostr).
Our mission hasn't changed - of enabling projects on our platform to succeed and enable Bitcoin adoption globally. And Email (although broken in so many ways) is still a key way that we can remain SOVEREIGN - and be able to communicate to our users (as they choose).
If you're concerned about sovereignty there are still a lot of sovereign email providers, would this not be a viable solution for you?
