I hear you. I’ll commit to a new experiment.
I tried the pyramid, but the UI wasn’t great, so I modified it. That probably contributed to the reliability issues, and I shut it down. I have a few ideas to explore, and I’m open to trying a different approach.
What I’d really like to build is a community moderated relay that’s easy to use and makes people want to use it. I see this with my kids: they love deciding who gets into their custom channels and rooms. I’ve worked hard to bring some of that experience to NIP-29 groups, but nobody uses them lol.
If we can make the UI good, intuitive and give people simple moderation tools, I think we can create the experience people want without the spam. I’ve started a list of current members and people making good food posts in the curated feed. It’ll take me a bit to build this out, but I’m willing to give it a shot.
