Nothing to do with my craft… but related. Why? Heritage techniques used to preserve woodwork year after year against harsh climates (yep… that’s Quebec).
Simple boiled linseed oil, pure turpentine, and pine tar. Nothing contemporary 😉 On the contrary: a centuries-old product. No need for sanding or anything. Just a simple cleaning, and that's it!
The link with stained glass? The LONGEVITY of the simple beauty found in pure materials. Glass, Lead, Wood, Stone.

This is exactly what they've used on Stave churches in Norway for centuries, and some of them are still standing after 800 years.
