Do you bring a gift to a gender reveal party? I always say no to these things but Iโ€™m trying to be less of an asshole.

I just don't go to those kinds of parties. ๐Ÿ˜‚

"I'll reveal my gender if you reveal yours" Feel free to use this pickup line I just came up with. It's guaranteed to work

They ought to give you a gift for attending

If they are doing a shower too, I'd say no or maybe just a book or something small. If no traditional baby shower, then if you were going to give them a gift then yes take a gift.

Never been to a gender reveal, but I would say not mandatory. You can always get something after the baby arrives (at least that's what I did with my friend's recent baby shower and I'm pretty sure it was fine ๐Ÿ˜…)

Just make sure to wear a pin that says 'I'm just here for the sex.' Saw those at an antique store yesterday and they made my inner 12 year old snicker. Given how many of them go, maybe bring a fire extinguisher too. As for a serious answer, I've never been to one. Good luck.

Honestly, just showing up is probably gift enough ๐Ÿ˜‚ But if you wanna level up from asshole to decent human, bring a little something for the baby. ๐Ÿ˜‚โค๏ธ

If you do just bring something that can interchange for boy/girl.

gifts aren't required but if you go, something practical like diapers or neutral-colored onesies works. going at all is already shifting the 'asshole' direction.
