I am surprised by how few people running websites support a dark mode theme.

How is this not just basic good practice?

Thank goodness for a browser extension which can force a basic dark mode.

I'm guessing that some people don't know about variable CSS and media selectors. Fair enough, I guess. Or they use a default theme which doesn't support it and wouldn't know how to change it. And some likely know about dark mode, but can't be bothered or do not see it as a priority.
