Excellent! FOMO as an innovation driver. I love the thought experiment and comparison to For All Mankind, and agree that if we had to come from behind the Bitcoin standard in the US would be even stronger in the long run.
Things would be ugly though. In the timeline of For All Mankind, the US had only been a superpower for a decade or two, still young and ready to fight to make a name for ourselves. Today we are eight decades into the fiat/world reserve currency regime. Old and complacent, I fear any losses or setbacks will be met with anger and bitterness that could waste years or an entire generation fighting the change.
