"The composer breaks free." — I've thought of this too for Phanpy. A small popover Gmail-style like at bottom right corner. I ended up just fill up the whole screen due to mobile-first design. What happens when you trigger another composer while having a composer open/minimized? Multiple composers (also Gmail-like)? Dragging/Rearranging in-draft composers around? 😉
