So what will happen now that it failed? Small % of miners would be crazy to continue mining bip110 as that would be burning money.

From what I seen and learned yesterday, is that there is a whole load of speculation.
There were rumours, of branching off into a whole new coin etc.
It probably is best just to sit back and let the dust settle. Emotions and frustrations were probably too high from both camps to really get any real outcomes
