My thoughts on DOGE 🐶, it's potential impact on the deficit, whether fiat will keep expanding, and its impact on Bitcoin. Would love to hear your comments below.

so in short... nothing stops this train and we are fucked and this is mostly just showboating.

Too early to be pessimistic. Everyone assumes mandatory spending can’t shrink by stopping dead people from getting SS benefits, for example. Waste and theft can be removed without needing to cut the goods and services entitlement programs provide. How much remains to be seen, but I wouldn’t be s...

On Sunday, Trump hinted that the United States might renege on some of the $36.22 trillion that it owes on the national debt. https://newrepublic.com/article/191367/trump-treasury-default-bond-market

Thanks for the breakdown and thoughts. I’m guessing within that large defense budget there is a large amount of waste, easily 10-20%.

Good analysis, thanks. IMHO, they will turn on the money printer, big time. And they will use the whole process to move more money to the billionaires. They will continue the Trump tax cuts and more. Plus, project 2025 makes it clear that they will go after Social Security and Medicare

No. All this fraud cutting is terrible for bitcoin. Sold it all already.

Jerome Powell posturing yesterday that QE not immenint but I agree. Nothing stops this train. https://www.federalreserve.gov/newsevents/testimony/powell20250211a.htm

Love this, TY. I’d also add that nat gas in forecasted to rise 24% in 2025 so adding pressure on the cost side via electricity.

Cutting things like the department that looks at voter fraud…EPA…DoE…are not “fiscal moves”, they are moves to make themselves stay in power for longer, democracy is being attacked, but for some reason you all seem really distracted…

Also, thanks for posting this here, did you get my tag? Hahahah

# government efficiency, especially on a fiat currency system, is an oxymoron

Great vid. I'm enjoying this format. Is it possible that tether or some other stable coin will fill the gap for new liquidity? JPow is still looking fairly tight at the moment and I don't see a recession anytime soon.

Nice work! Like these viewpoint video takes✌️

An economic system that depends on continual inflation will bring about it's own downfall. It's happened before, and it will likely happen within our lifetimes. Good thing we have #Bitcoin.

Great analysis. Govt spending reminds me of caloric intake in a way- Cutting out bad calories without replacing them with good ones causes a deficit and the body will shrink. Cutting wasteful M2 is good as long as it is backfilled with other liquidity, otherwise the market and tax receipts shrink.
Blazar · 57w
Pretty botched job if you ask me. Could be done more effectively with less collateral damage. Lasting and legal changes not the sensational paper gains they’re claiming. Anyone that can shrink the size of the govt is an American hero in my book. I'm looking forward to see what they find at the IRS! Audit the auditors! LFG!
Vampire · 57w
I suspect the entire effort will have limited success. There will be some headline wins but the spending will continue regardless.
Ronin · 56w
Think DOGE will be very good for American people, i don't think it will be a deflationary event, I believe the gains will flow to Americans in the form of less taxes, also interest rates will go down so all of these are more liquidity. About the US debt, Jeff Booth already said it, it's insolvent, n...
