@nprofile1q... If I understood correctly from his FOSDEM 2024 talk, it is mainly that some operations really can't be commutative in a git-like world? Not entirely sure anymore... Pijul also works really efficiently with binary data (if you want version control to be for the masses, not only for programmers with text files)

More practically speaking: the UI is interesting (not always better) when the repository state is like a set of patches with no total ordering

anyways, I don't think you would miss much from Pijul at the moment
