Because if it is anything less than that or slower than that, it does nothing for an average poor man. Nothing to talk about and no shiny titles to give it. People have savings worth several months of their wage. Even for a true bitcoiner who has all of it in bitcoin, what does doubling or tripling it in several years do? Gives an extra vacation? Nothing to write home about.
