🏗 The Rooftop Project : One Step at a Time
I’ve already talked to you about this project, but today I want to give you a little update and, most importantly, be honest with you.
On **July 22nd**, I started a project that means a lot to me: **building an 8m × 4m room on the rooftop slab of my family home.**
Why?
Because I want to have my own space.
A place where I can live, work, create, think, and continue building my projects.
Most importantly, I want to become more independent.
The full project is estimated at **2,414,500 FCFA (~$4,236)**.
Yes, that's a lot.
But I don't want to focus on the 2.4 million today.
**I want to start with one first step.**
🧱 **The staircase.**
The initial estimate for the staircase was **257,000 FCFA (~$451)**.
Since the launch, you have already contributed a total of **152,500 sats (~$100)**.
And those sats didn't just sit somewhere.
On **July 25th**, they allowed us to buy gravel.
Today, we already have on site:
• Sand
• Gravel
• Around 10 bags of cement
So yes...
**The project has started. ❤**
It's no longer just an idea I'm sharing with you.
There are already materials on the ground.
To complete the staircase, we mainly need to cover the steel/rebar, the ironworker's labor, the formwork, the mason's labor, and a few additional bags of cement.
Thanks to what we already have, we now estimate that we need around:

So I had an idea.
Why not turn my birthday into a little challenge?
