Just returned from teaching a nine-day high mountain winter course. Woke up in my tent this morning at -15°C. I'm home now - and once again, I'm surprised that sitting on a chair, a warm wood stove, and a hot shower can feel like an extravagant luxury.

Most people are more comfortable than former kings and queens - very easy to forget that!
