Airport to El Zonte is about 70-80km, takes around 2 hours

But dont rush it, theres good spots to stop:

El Muelle in Puerto de la Libertad - best for seafood right on the water
El Malecón - nice boardwalk with local food
Playa El Tunco - surf town with good restaurants
La Curva de Don Gere - hotel and restaurant, authentic food

This is why I always tell people rent a car instead of taking a tour bus, you can actually stop and enjoy these places and those are only a few along the route
