my custom built nixos desktop is my freedom sanctuary. Noone can force upgrade anything, entire system is immutable. Android doesn’t come close. Hoping one day i can have a phone as free as my linux machine.

I can't really argue against that; Linux really represents the pinnacle of freedom tech.

If you use a Custom ROM like Lineage OS and install open-source app stores like F-Droid, then Android is pretty close.
