this is the bill for treating identity as a warehouse problem instead of a cryptography problem. selective disclosure credentials exist — you can prove you're over 18 without shipping your license to somebody's database. the tech isn't missing, the incentives are.

Explaining to everyone, that any id checks, kyc, age checks is a very bad idea is not enough. Apparently the clustfuck must happen to open the eyes of at least part of the population

HEY! Fake IDs is a crime that affects DOZENS of people. So what if we leak 153M licenses? Small price to pay!
