I’m back after being away from posting here for quite some time because I experienced an anxiety attack.
I just want to share my experience with having an anxiety attack that lasted for a week. Yes, one whole week! I honestly couldn’t believe that I could experience and deal with anxiety for several days. It was terrifying and really difficult for me.
One of the scariest parts of dealing with anxiety was the physical symptoms. I experienced a pounding heartbeat and tightness in my chest, muscle tension, numbness, headaches, and shortness of breath.
Those were the symptoms I experienced. I’m not exactly sure what triggered it, but maybe it was because I had been constantly worrying and panicking about the health of my kitten and cats since last month.
I was also bitten by my kitten last August 2. On top of that, the typhoon was still affecting our area at the time, so I couldn’t go to the infirmary right away to get checked and receive my anti-rabies shot. This made me even more anxious and worried.
But thank God, I was eventually able to go to the infirmary in our town 10 days later. They checked my previous vaccination, and the nurse told me that I still had protection from my previous vaccine. I realized that I had been worrying so much about something that turned out to be okay.
It was definitely a scary experience, but I’m glad I made it through. 😭💗
