Why are you going vegan? Your ancestors weren’t vegan, there are no societies on earth that have ever been vegan... What is motivating you?

Healthier, much more protein in my case because I never had a lot of protein, much cheaper, easier to cook and conserve (no unfreezing stuff, etc), more scalable (for more people), soy TVP, tofu and all. A bag of 500g of TVP costs like 2 euro, and it has 250g of protein. Which is insane.

And that soy TVP makes butyrate in the gut, which is great for gut barrier, i.e healthier gut. I always had gut problems, ever since I started this diet I haven't. I kid you not.

Also I've learned much more about cooking also because you have to learn how to make things taste good (with meat it's always easier), which is always great. Lentils, chickpeas, potatoes, vegetables, knowing the right spices, making daal, spreads, marinading stuff, etc

So yeah, highly recommend a vegan/vegetarian diet, with low or zero dairy of course. Dairy is the problem. The focus should be tofu, soy TVP, lentils, chickpeas, potatoes, vegetables and lots of fruits.

Interesting, the cheaper aspect is definitely important. I’m happy to hear you gut is doing better, so many people don’t realize how individual diet is and think that you are just crazy when you say you don’t eat something for your gut health! I’m not familiar with soy TVP, but that is alot ...
