Did you know Napoleon was trying to establish a sound money alternative to Great Britain's sometimes-convertible pound? Part of why Great Britain wanted to defeat Napoleon was to keep its world reserve currency status.

Remember how most presidential candidates chastised the present administration, but once in office continued or increased the printing? I don’t think Napoleon would have been significantly better.
