Anyone else burning through tokens more than ever before using Buzz? I'm not new to multiple agents and sub-agents, but perhaps using them in a manner that I currently am where they talk to one another in a back and forth conversation is causing issues. I worked for about an hour yesterday and didn't accomplish all that much and burned through my 5 hour window using Opus 5. This happened twice. Perhaps I need more tweaking perhaps of my workflow documentation and agent system prompts.

This is one of the top 3 reasons I gave up using it after one day. Highly token inefficient.

I could see that confirmation check they like to do becoming recursive

Probably not a good ideal to have multiple agents. My tokenminning strategy requires the use of rawq to index all code and only use rawq to search code, always use openspec before writing code and TDD for all implementation. I have 2 or 3 opencode sessions going all day and swap back and forth bet...

they also run an egregious amount of tool calls.

My token usage went down. I’ve used other multi-agent harnesses before, and the agents burn through a lot talking to each other. There are ways to reduce it. Hint: Buzz allows for deterministic agents, not just AI agents. And with Goose integrated, so are Goose Recipes. Also look into lazily loadi...
