I can soooo relate. Been doing the same … looking for a 48GB Blackwell GPU as an alternative… at similar prices.

I've been looking at the Blackwell systems. About $3,500. But it can only be used for local AI models. I couldn't do anything else with it. And that is fine I guess. But if I bought a 5090 and spend a little bit more money I could also game with it if I needed to. I haven't really played video games in a little over a year once I started vibe coding. If I spend a little bit more money and get the gaming system/ AI system I could play video games again if I wanted to.

The challenge is when you wanna do / have toolchains of LLMs … 32GB gives you space for a solid LLM & the ability to cache … but 48GB you could do a pipeline that’s STT->LLM->TTS

Since I started vibe coding … my video game interest … and TBH … anything computer related has gone sideways. I just wanna build & launch … I consider it my “model trains” hobby at worst. … startup incubator at best.
