This might be a hot take - but a person tells me that "they don't need a spellchecker or an editor" they are kidding themselves.

There is no way you can spot all of your spelling mistakes, punctuation errors, dialogue tag issues, funky sentence structures, after already spending (hopefully) a lot of time doing drafts and story editing. Even if you do read the script out loud several times - human brain gets numb from repetition and misses things.
