It is extremely important that a platform exists that allows anybody to express any idea they wish to, in order to preserve free speech. And for anybody who wants to listen to be able to plug into that content and listen. It is not necessary that anybody actually do so. Plenty of people will never say a word. In fact, that is also true of twitter. Many people watch twitter and never post. We cannot count how many people are watching nostr but have never even generated a keypair. IMHO nostr adoption isn't important. I don't care how many people come to nostr. If people want to join bluesky or post or mastodon, they are free. I don't care. But I do care about nostr awareness. I want the world to know that there is a place that supports free speech, puts users in control, is open sourced and has many implementations, and is difficult to shut down due to being decentralized. Whether people come over here is up to them.
