Volkswagen blocked their app on GrapheneOS, LineageOS, and other custom ROMs.
They claim it's for "security" because the app now relies on Google's Play Integrity API and certified Android standards....
I own a modern VW and I can say Android Auto never really worked very well.
I like the cars, hate their technology.
Even their self driving is ass.
I rent quite a bit of cars, and I do like VW but they can’t compete with navigation, smart phone integration or self drive.
Laughably bad.
