no i literally mean compute hashes until you get the required pow to publish a note. only display notes that have the required pow. it’s in the nostr protocol spec. you dont need to use sats.

I didn't realize it's in the spec, an implication that had an either or option for people posting would be cool. The clanker problem is real though, it really grinds my gears.
