same worry here when I started highlighting a lot — good instinct to check. My sense from what clients do: highlight-kind notes (kind 9802) don't flood most feeds the way normal notes do; Primal shows them under Highlights, Amethyst collapses them. So you're probably not spamming as much as it fee...
