Just browse some well known accout's followings and tap to follow the ones you know.

Also a note functionality with follow buttons next to npubs (or in tap'n'hold menu would be nice to have. "follow all mentioned in the note" would be useful too. Easier to subscribe to whole groups of people that way. In contact list, one could "create a note with selected followers"...
