I'm 2 months into my move to @GrapheneOS after 17 years of iPhones. I've worked out how to migrate and accomplish all the functionality that matters to me.

Given today's Google Play Store news, on top of a litany of other lockdowns and restrictions that keep coming, I'm thinking about doing a live @zap.stream on moving to Graphene. Overview + Q&A.

Its way easier to make the switch. Cant imagine to move back and miss that much freedom of choice and possibilities that are offered with grapheneOS. Start with two phones makes it simple to compare and see the advantages. Be open and you find ways and solutions you didnt know there were there.

I ran graphene for 3 years it was a disaster for me looking back. iCloud is a marvel of a system for never loosing anything and CarPlay is essential. No idea how that stuff works on Graphene these days, but it was too much fucking work If you don’t want to be surveilled don’t carry a phone, eve...
