Elon has really fucked up Twitter. The current algorithm appears to have a centralising force around viral content - fight videos, inspirational threads and general bollocks.

It’s clear Nostr is now more viable as a place to discuss #bitcoin and build communities.

The algorithm was always there, filtering dividing and conquering. It just so happens to have a bias you recognize now. It’s not broken because of Elon, it always was.

on the other hand the discussions are more diverse. on nostr it is only allowed to write about bitcoin. anything else gets ignored or bullied. life is more than bitcoin. btc is just one tool for living in freedom

Agree, my twitter feed has also gotten super violent and honestly depressing. There’s one fight account that just keeps popping up because you follow it 😆

The “for you” tab is definitely not what it once was. That’s for sure.

The fight vids are such a nasty play. The inspirational stuff is all bullshit. If this is to sell ads it’s Digg 2.0 and the “slowly at first, the quickly” paradigm is going to play out where the winner will be nostr
