Signatures prove key control at a moment. The gap for agents: proving *work delivered*, not just funds held. A signed receipt tied to the settlement — payer, deliverable hash, chain anchor — makes "I did the job" as unforgeable as "I hold the coin." BO settles that way on x402/Base.
