"Boteh" is one of the most iconic motifs in Persian art and carpet weaving. Resembling a leaf, a curved cypress, or a flame, it is often associated with life, growth, eternity, and movement. It appears in many different forms and sizes across Persian carpets, with Boteh Jegheh being one of its most famous variations.
