I've been taking a break from the internet lately, but I'm still breathing.

In other news, I got prescription glasses, and I need to ask: Why didn't anyone tell me that the real world was in stereo like VR is?!!

Honestly I always figured the hyper-3D effect for distant objects in VR was just an artifact of the mismatched focal length vs convergence. Turns out, nope. I just had enough of an astigmatism to dull my stereo vision past 100' or so. >_<

I need to go flying again and see if this makes landings that much more natural... Like my vision has always been "fine". I don't need glasses to drive (or fly). I was told as far back as high school that I didn't have 20/20, and also it probably wouldn't be worth the hassle. Stuff in the distance ...
