I want a government and elected leaders that will

- uphold the constitution and bill of rights
- stop cracking down on civil liberties and increasing the surveillance state

But every year that goes by surveillance state increases and civil liberties protections decrease (left or right).

Power to the people — the govt does not speak for us or “grant” us these rights.
