I do think you would benefit from looking up No True Scotmans Fallacy but I will share why you are being religious with capitalism in my next post. Do you have a time period you can refer me to that ...

I'm not sure that you're quite hearing me! I'm not defending capitalism; I'm just saying that's not what we're in now, so when you keep criticizing everything you don't like now as "capitalism," it rings false to me. (Though I don't doubt your sincerity, which comes through clearly.)

I did read your longer message, and it makes sense but the current state being a result of capitalism does not make it capitalism now. I would say that the problem now is the involvement of the govt. Is that capture motivated by pursuit of profit? Yes, undoubtedly. Does that make today's system "capitalism?" No. Is pursuit of profit and control unique to capitalism? Definitely not.

I'd be very surprised if one NA tribe with one form of governance lasted for 13k years, but in any case I would submit that a tribe - or a cooperative, for that matter - is a very different situation from a nation state. When an entity is small enough, those in positions of control are directly accountable to the people. Tribes are also culturally homogeous and even large ones are small enough that the interdependence of the members is obvious to all. Not a good idea to screw over your neighbor if it may mean your family doesn't eat next winter.

I'm signing off on this now. I very much appreciate your passion and conviction and your willingness to engage!

Best to you -

Clear distinction, let's focus on facts, not ideologies.

But it is capitalism, that’s my point. Let me try explaining this way, Christian’s think Jesus is God. Hindus think their Gods are the “true” gods. They are all religions with gods and I’m an atheist over head shaking my head at it all.
