Since I started using Bitcoin, banks have blocked my account several times, claiming it was to protect me. This happened years ago when I was using KYC exchanges, but what happened to me the other day was surreal, probably due to the algorithms they use to prevent โfraud.โ
I transfer money from one of my accounts to another, and then from that one to another.
Why did I do this? Well, I don't know, I do weird things because I have OCD.
The transfer was blocked for fraud, and I had to answer dozens of questions. They literally asked me how many times a day I masturbate. I've never been interrogated like this before.
How can it be fraud if all the accounts are in my name?
We crossed the friction threshold years ago. Today, operating with Bitcoin has much less friction than operating in the Fiat world, and that includes, for example, using Robosats versus a KYC exchange.
