GM my favorite people. I realized this weekend that I don't post much about what I'm working on and I think that's bad. I'm excited about this stuff and want to share it, but I've bullied myself into not discussing anything unless it's "done", and then when I finish something I just move on and forget to ever talk about it!

For two years I've been working on Fanfares and it's incredible to see how much we've built. Now with AI assistance we are building even faster, all in service of helping creators monetize their content via nostr and lightning!

Fanfares will be leaving Early Access this Summer, which means soon everyone will be able to sell their content without being whitelisted! We just added music support and are talking to musicians about testing it out. Overall, musicians seem very excited to have a bitcoin-native way to sell their art.

We also are releasing longform article support for writers who want to leave Substack behind and go nostr-only.

Our goal is simple: creators should be able to make more money on nostr than anywhere else. They own their identity. They own their content through encryption, paywalls and referral incentives. They control their pricing. And with Fanfares, they now have the ability to exchange content for microtransactions. We don't need other platforms taking a huge cut. We don't need to convince fans to commit to a subscription. Artists can make something good and sell it. That's it.

The best part is that creators don't need to give up their other platforms to use nostr and Fanfares! You can publish free content to YouTube and link to your paid content on Fanfares. You can leverage existing algorithms and followers to promote your premium offerings.

If you are a creator -- whether it's video, longform, audio, art, or music -- and you're interested in giving feedback to Fanfares so we can make it work better for you, please give me a shout. I'm excited to build this for you, and I want it to be the best experience it can be.

That's all for now, but I plan to post more about Fanfares because it's really something I care about. Thanks for reading! Have a great day!

Great stuff. Ownership of your identity, your channel, and your network connections through Nostr is what makes it the future of publishing. The fundamentals are so much stronger than the platform system, where you effectively rent everything from a large corporation. The ability to send money tha...
