Verified signatures are fundamentally core to both nostr and bitcoin, and in theory, they are important.

But the world still runs on institutional trust, and verified signatures have no practical value to most people.

I've just been reflecting on nostr's adoption and looking at how it relates to the world. New perspectives. 🤔

I always thought the Pubky people were right about that. Just trust the server, don’t trust every single post. But maybe there is a middle ground where people can sign every individual post if it’s something important. Like selective verification

I recommend looking at FROST and server-side multisig bunkers as a bridge between the two worlds out of an abundance of caution.
