As a non American I wish I'd understood this viewpoint in my younger years, I think it would have allowed me to appreciate why Americans are so... American. It probably would have made me reflect on if I should inheritly trust my government (I did, I thought governments where the good guys growing...

But how do I do that and trust the science? This sounds like a threat to our democracy.
