I assume this is about the developers having to give their credentials to file before they are allowed to offer their apps. First off, there is no bad side to this for the user, at least if devs are going to upload apps that may clear their QC, it’s nice to know they are actually sanctioned and being regulated by Google.
Secondly, if you flash a custom rom, you just tossed safetynet out the window so your device is definitely going to show up as “uncertified”, making what you download even more difficult.
I honestly don’t understand what y’all have against this, I don’t know about you but I would prefer to know exactly who created my app and that they can be held accountable for it.
TL;DR You think you’re beating Google by flashing a custom rom when the code that rom is sung is still coming from Google. Unless graphene can figure out a way to fork all of AOSP, you will always be at the mercy of Google.
