First time I'm having to do a real recovery from seed phrase and woof. So far it's been a real pain in the ass

Assuming it's a BIP 39 seed phrase, and you remember the words (and the passphrase, if you have one), then it should be easy to open it in any wallet software
But I guess you're hoping to keep this away from any not-entirely-trusted software
