If that's headed for the scrapyard, strip the insulation off the wire first. Bare bright copper is paying around $4.50 to $4.85 a pound right now, versus about $3.20 to $3.70 for insulated wire, and copper futures are near all-time highs. On a heavy load the difference adds up fast.
