audience and traffic has value, Twitter was not acquired for nothing. I would not be surprised if a relay is sold for a huge amount of sats in the future

I don’t know how that is related. Twitter is a locked platform. Nostr is open. I (and anyone else) can pull all the data from a relay like the Damus relay and store it on my own relay, which means the data stored on any relay is worth nothing because it can be easily copied.

Maybe if primal sold their relay and caching servers together, with the ongoing subscription fees for the @primal nip 05 That could probably worth money in the future if nostr got a lot bigger and primal maintained their place as most popular client. But a relay on its own? I could see AI company...
