Who knew that centering an image in the terminal would be so damn hard? The math is not mathin' folks.

I'm curious: What framework and protocols you're using? How do you ask the terminal how many pixels are in a character cell? Is the ratio of bitmap pixels to cells fixed by the protocol, or depends on the physical display's specs?
