Yes I did read the post and I will clarify: DO NOT TRUST THE DEVICE RNG. Never.
But we are all very lucky, because we can mix entropy sources, bad with good, and it's enough that one of the sources is good.
One of the systems I know of, uses SIX sources of entropy, hw based and two layers including lower and higher parts of the software and user inputs. That's an overkill but maybe it's the right path.
NSA allegedly tried to tamper with rng, tried to tamper with encryption devices. One such try invalidates any trust, forever.
