In other words I am saying it would be cool if I could buy hash without ever leaving Nostr and mine even when it's not the Blockparty day, where I can come in with my say 10 000 sats for example and h...

Nostr is so dead, it's hardly worth the effort in development. Sorry. We used Nostr in its heyday to launch the block party, and we still have a core audience here, so we stay.

But the network effect isn't here. As a small startup, it doesn't make sense to allocate resources in this way.

We have a functional, 24/7 hashrate marketplace. It does not need to be built on Nostr. Nothing needs to be built on Nostr. We've been on here for nearly two years, which is long enough to witness its decline.

We were Nostr's first Bitcoin mining block party.

We zapped 6M sats in a single day to promote the party.

We supported this ecosystem in a variety of ways over the years.

It pains us to see the decline in this space. It's not due to lack of effort. But lack of interest speaks volumes. Perhaps if it changes down the road will take another look.

Sad to hear but I guess the numbers don't lie at the end of the day 😢

Oh in that case, the current model is worth improving as is. Hope Nostr improves soon

Nostr is what you make it :) it’s much more than the social layer and it’s definitely worth the effort in developement. It’s probably not worth the development in the social layer. But development overall within the pro protocol is still alive and well. Have you tried BUZZ?

It is pretty dead, but we're fighting for this place to stay alive 😄

I found your block party because of Nostr, and I've joined 5 times! Don't go!

I've heard this kind of talk before. Where was that? Ah yes. Talk about Linux back in the day.

Agreed. As I said many times - do Noster as a forum like stack overflow and reddit. Well integrated with email. We are slow burning cool people. Not fireworks hot air balloon types. This twiter thing is just irritating and leads nowhere.

For me, I just disagree with the premise, but I think that's because I don't want nostr to be something that someone else may want it to be. The network effect for mass social media of this type is already owned by a bunch of apps. And Nostr is more than just a Twitter clone. It's a protocol that ...

fwiw, I've joined quite a number of parties only because I saw it was happening on nostr- always a good time buying hash and bringing some too

It is really sad to see, broken promises and dashed hopes etc. But I really appreciate you guys keeping reminding us about block parties, zapvertise it and more. Quite a few people have used this platform successfully like that, nostr:nprofile1qqsppdnxpjc82jlm3yn9gawhv7p4nm69a3f80rg5ycw305xned2s0h...
