Training update @RUNSTR
I actually post this to nostr as a log so I can go back and view for myself what I’ve done etc.
After the race on Friday I have just done very easy runs to recover, which is zone 1 for me. With strides 4x20 (Saturday) and 4x20-30sec (Sunday) to get back into stacking speed.
I do my 10k easy runs everyday because that’s what I do and have done for the past 3+ years (with some failures along the way…). And I will continue as stated in my bio. I find that I recover very well when I go easy, or very easy so I can continue everyday. I always listen to my body, to not overdo it too much (meaning going hard or doing harder intervals/workouts/tempos) unless that’s the goal like RUNSTR season 2 for example.
I know it sounds crazy and insane to do 10k everyday. And it definitely is. But when you do it a lot it gets easier. I also know some athletes that do 2,3 or 4 times more than me in terms of distance regularly.
So, I’m still a little sore from the race but starting to feel fresh again, or is it just the coffee ☕️? Who knows?.. I’m going for a morning run in the windy weather here soon. Let’s go!
Happy Monday and have an awesome week!!!!🤙💪⚡️🔥🧡💜
